Fibromyalgia is a chronic painful condition. It can be difficult to diagnose and results in pain throughout the body. Feelings of exhaustion and depression can last for months at a time. Some patients also report restless leg syndrome, irritable bowel or bladder problems, numbness and tingling sensations, and sensitivity to noise, lights or temperature. Fibromyalgia appears to affect more women than men, and most often develops during early and middle adulthood.
