Tam Tran, PA, joined the GA Pain and Wellness Center team in 2015 and is a dedicated and hard working member of our medical staff. His focus is on identifying the underlying cause of your pain, not just the symptoms. Using the latest technology in pain management including, epidurals, nerve blocks, radio frequency ablation, and especially stimulator implants, our team can help address acute and chronic pain. With our integrated practice, you no longer have to go somewhere else to get the treatments you want.
Tam Tran was born in Wichita Falls, TX. He is the second oldest of six children to two great and loving parents. His parents were refugees from Vietnam. Growing up, his parents embedded great pride and culture into his mind-set. As a child, he wanted to pursue a career in the medical field in order to help people stay healthy and have a great quality of life. He is fluent in Vietnamese.
Tam was the valedictorian of Wichita Falls High School in 2005. He then attended his local university, Midwestern State University, and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. For one year, he worked as an EMT Basic to get basic medical experience. He graduated in 2012 from South University in Savannah, GA with a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
He has experience working in the Wellstar Health System in the emergency department as well as working with another clinic also utilizing interventional medicine in the treatment of health problems.
He is nationally certified through The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is also proud member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
